Job Title: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Reports To: Veterinary Technician Team Lead/Veterinarian



Access Veterinary Care has a great opportunity for a CVT that is looking to practice medicine in a dynamic setting. We are a walk-in model clinic that provides affordable emergency-type medicine on an out-patient basis. As one of our certified veterinary technicians, you are the core of the clinical team at Access Veterinary Care. You’ll be responsible for seeing wellness appointments, performing basic dental procedures, running laboratory diagnostics, running anesthesia, assisting with surgery, and assisting our veterinarians with sick patient appointments and follow up. We’re looking for technicians who want a lot of face time with clients and patients, and who are interested in practicing to the full extent of their training. Main Job Duties

Patient Care

  • Dental prophylaxis
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Oversee basic preventive care appointments
  • Triage urgent care patients and assist veterinarian in sick patient workup and treatment

Client Education

  • Nutrition and wellness care
  • Medication compliance
  • Help develop client education tools
  • Oral health care


  • Run in-house diagnostics
  • Prep samples for referral laboratories
  • Patient sample collection


  • Maintain in-house formulary
  • Coordinate prescription refills
  • Work with clients


Job Requirements


  • Certified Veterinary Technician (or equivalent)


  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Actively engaged in learning new skills
  • Able to learn software systems (including electronic medical records systems)
  • Able to think on feet and problem solve


  • Bi- or Multi-lingual (English/Spanish preferred)
