General Information

What is the Preventative Care Clinic?

Our Preventative Care clinic provides quick, 15-minute appointments, conducted by our Certified Veterinary Technicians. We offer a variety of healthy pet services such as vaccinations and flea and tick medication on an a la carte basis.

This is a different experience from your traditional wellness visit with a primary care veterinarian:

Our medical support team will discuss your pets needs before the visit, but will only provide services upon request. Please bring all records, appointment reminder cards from your family veterinarian, or any other documents which may help you decide which services you’d like for your pet. We’ll do our best to collaborate with you on determining your healthy pet’s routine needs.

Pets are taken back to our treatment area for a brief examination with the technician, vaccine administration, and test collection. Upon completion, you will be given an exam with the services your pet received that day, and any follow up vaccinations or visits are arranged at your discretion. We always recommend sending your list of services to your primary care veterinarian for reminders and consistency of care.

Please see our complete list of services below. We do not offer any services at the Preventative Care Clinic outside of those listed.

Why is there a deposit?

Due to a substantial increase in no show visits, a nonrefundable, $15 deposit per pet is now required to register. This will help keep overall prices down and reduce additional fees.

This deposit is credited toward your total for your visit. Deposits are transferrable for rescheduled visits, if done at least 24 hours in advance via your emailed booking link. We are unable to re-fill slots that open up within 24 hours of the booking date/time.

The deposit does not transfer within 24 hours of the booking date, after the visit date has passed, for any cancellations, or for no shows. Additionally, if you book a preventative care service for a sick or injured pet and are turned away, your deposit will not be refunded.

We can not attend to sick or injured pets at the preventative care clinic.

What species can you see?

Just like our Urgent Care Clinic, our Preventative Care Clinic primarily caters to dogs and cats.

We can provide limited services for other species, depending on staff experience and availability, but we do not have staff who specialize in pocket pets, reptiles, other exotics, or avians. For our non cat/dog friends we can most commonly accommodate the following:

  • Some healthy pet exams/husbandry recommendations
  • Rabbits: Spay/neuter assessments
  • Ferrets: Rabies vaccination
  • Avians: Wing trims on select days (please call to ensure proper staff availability)

Access Veterinary Care reserves the right to cancel or reschedule visits for species we can not adequately provide services for. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! We’re happy to answer any questions you may have.
