Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Starting Salary: $15.00/hour Full Time.  $14.00/hour Part Time

Reports To: Director of Business Operations

 

Summary

You are the first and last person that sees each client at Access Veterinary Care. Our client experience and waiting room atmosphere is up to you! We want each client, no matter what brings them here, and each patient, no matter how fuzzy or scaly, to feel right at home. If you are outgoing, engaging, and empathetic, this is a great fit for you! These team members should also be willing to let ownership know of any improvements that can be made to enhance the client experience. As a walk-in clinic, we will move from chaos to lulls and back again.  We are looking for teammates who can roll with it when things get busy, and self-start on other projects and tasks when it is quiet.

 

Main Job Duties

Administrative Support – 75%

  • Check in and register clients and patients
  • Maintain friendly and welcoming waiting room atmosphere
  • Money handling (process payments through electronic medical record system)
  • Maintain medical records
  • Ensure timely communication with referring veterinarians
  • Other duties as assigned

Clinical Operations Support – 25%

  • Preparation of surgical supplies
  • Restocking supplies and pharmacy inventory
  • Placing inventory and supply orders
  • Clean dog and cat enclosures
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Any

Expected:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Actively engaged in learning new skills
  • Able to learn software systems (including electronic medical records systems)
  • Able to think on feet and problem solve

Preferred:

  • Bi- or Multi-lingual (English/Spanish preferred)
